Carers Bucks

Carers Bucks is a charity which supports unpaid family carers in Buckinghamshire (both adult and young carers). A family carer is someone looking after a family member or friend who could not manage without that support. We provide advice, information, guidance and emotional support. We run support groups, young carers clubs and provide training on topics as diverse as managing challenging behaviour to understanding mental illness.

Held on the last Friday of the month for people who have chronic pain from any condition such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, polymyalgia, nerve pain, back problems. we meet at the centre at Verney Close from 2.00 - 3.30 for tea, cake and chat exchanging experiences.

Buckingham and District Stroke Support Group

Options, Well Street, Unit 1-3, 62-63 Well Street

Stroke clubs and groups provide essential long-term peer support to stroke survivors, carers, family and friends. They provide an opportunity for those who have been affected by stroke to rediscover previous skills, learn new skills, regain confidence, increase independence and socialise with other individuals who have had similar experiences.

Held on the first Thursday of the month at The Centre @ Verney Close from 10 - 12.00, Open House is for former carers and people who live on their own. It is a social group with speakers and outings.

North Bucks Veterans

The group was set up and is run by a local veteran to provide a support group for forces Veterans, reservists and their families living in and around the local area.
