All in an Elizabethan Garden Green

Set in the historic garden of Ondaatje Hall, courtesy of Buckingham University, author, Philip Robinson who also cares for this historic Buckingham garden, has selected poetry and prose from his anthology, the Faber Book of Gardens.  The music will include a rare performance of the Bees Madrigal by the 17th Century Buckinghamshire born author, Charles Butler, who wrote The Feminine Monarchie; the first authoritative book on beekeeping published in 1609.  Pimms will be served, and the audience is invited to make a voluntary donation towards a Buckingham Jubilee tree for the Queen’s Green Canopy.
